This Man City Kappa kit became steeped in history due arguably the most significant match in the club’s history.
In the division 2 play-off final against Gillingham, City were 2-0 down after 90 minutes and facing an unimaginable second year in the third tier of English football.

In what has gone down in folklore, Man City somehow scored twice in added on time to bring the match to extra-time.
The game progressed to penalties where City completed the turnaround and gained promotion back to division 1 at the first time of asking.
